Responsible for the peasants' medicine cabinets and the many traditional remedies used before the spread of modern medicine, the herbalist was a crucial link between the medicinal gardens and the ailing townsfolk. He was a sort of rural pharmacist whose original counter and tools can still be observed within the Museum, next to the village shop.
